    David Van Amber, who had been a patient in the hospital here for the last two weeks, died this morning of pneumonia. He is survived by his brother, C.W. Van Amber of Turner, Mont., who will leave this afternoon with the remains for Truman, Minn., for burial.

    Lillian June Yearton, age 80, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

    June was born on June 27, 1931, in Joplin the daughter of Howard and Nellie (Hartman) Van Amber. She has been a lifetime area resident, she graduated from Joplin High School in 1950. June was a homemaker, spending her days loving and caring for her family. She attended the Joplin First Church of the Nazarene.
    She married Bobby Yearton on Sept. 9, 1952, in Joplin, he survives. Additional survivors include one son, Steven Yearton and his wife, Jeanne, of Joplin; two daughters, Diana Haines and her husband, David, and Susan Randles and her husband, Mitch, both of Joplin, nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Les Van Amber, Bob Van Amber, Ed Van Amber, Jim Van Amber and Infant Van Amber; and by her sister, Edna Mae Van Amber.
    Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday March 26, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel, Pastor Jay Dick, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel.

    Obit: Rev. Raymond Cark Van Amber, age 67 years, passed away peacefully at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati on Monday morning March 17, 2008. Rev. Van Amber, of Colerain Township, dedicated his life to Pastoral and Evangelical ministry since 1961. Ordained as an Assemblies of God Minister, Rev. Van Amber received an Associate Bible Degree, Bachelor of Theology Degree and two Honorary Doctorate Degrees. He served as President of a City Wide Ministerial Alliance in Missouri; Director of Christ International Center in Houston, Texas; Founder and President of "Inroads," a crisis intervention center servicing thirteen counties in Oklahoma; and worked as a Sectional Youth Director in Florida and Christian Education Director in Texas. Rev. Van Amber was the author of two books, "When Drinking is Sinful" and "Satan On The Loose." He served as Minister for six years at the First Assembly of God Church in Vinita, Oklahoma; The Avon Worship Center in Avon, North Carolina for four years; Trinity Christian Center in Houston, Texas for five years; Marshall Avenue Assembly of God Church in Cincinnati, OH for 16 years and served as Interim Pastor for eleven months at the First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro, Texas. Rev. Van Amber dedicated his life to building faith in the hearts of the Christian, to equip the church in soul winning and to bring others to Christ and prepare the Church for Rapture.     Arthur David VanAmber , 73, of Pierce City went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Saturday June 27, 2015 at his home in Pierce City. He was born in Monett on January 26, 1942, the son of the late James Russell and Ethel Ruth (Fyr) VanAmber. He was united in marriage to Edith Breazzeal and she preceded him in death in 1999.

    He was retired from EFCO in Monett, served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pierce City, Missouri.

    Arthur is survived by one son: Shaun VanAmber of Branson; two brothers: Ronald VanAmber of Monett, and Donald VanAmber of Cape Canaveral, Florida; two sisters: Nellie Morris of Monett, and Judy Etter of Sarcoxie; and three grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by both his parents: James and Ethel and wife Edith.

    Visitation for Arthur is being held on Thursday July 2, 2015 from 6p-8p at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Graveside services at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery will be announced when finalized.

    Memorial donations for Arthur may be made to the First Baptist Church in Pierce City or to Hospice Compassus.
