- SHIRLEY M. VAN AMBURGH
Walden, N.Y.Shirley M. Van Amburgh, a homemaker and lifetime resident of the area, died Monday, December 2, 2002 in Newburgh. She was 80.The daughter of the late John and Agnes Walker Morris, she was born August 10, 1922 in Walden.
She was a member of the Walden United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and a member of the Walden Women's Club.
Survivors include her husband, Howard "Bud" Van Amburgh at home; two sons, Paul and his wife, Mary Van Amburgh, of Glens Falls, and Neil Van Amburgh of Newburgh; two daughters, Jan and her husband, Michael, Weiner of Walden, and Beth Van Amburgh of Campbell Hall; and nine grandchildren, Michael Van Amburgh and his wife, Vicky, Ryan Van Amburgh and his wife, Aarika, Kevin Van Amburgh, Patrick Van Amburgh, Daniel Van Amburgh, Erich Weiner, Craig Weiner, Jennifer Weiner, and Meg Conroy.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank Street, Walden.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 5, a the United Methodist Church of Walden, with the Rev. Kent Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden.
Memorial contributions in Shirley's name may be made to People for People Fund, care of the Walden United Methodist Church.
