Kristen VanAmber Dooley, age 47, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on Sept. 12, 2017, surrounded by her two children, Madeline, 16, Ronan, 14, and her husband of 19 years, Brendan.
Born Jan. 20, 1970, in Seattle, Wash., but if you asked her, she was 100 percent Texan. She graduated from Abilene Christian University, class of 1993, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, and was a registered nurse in Texas, South Carolina and Connecticut, mostly experienced in maternal/child, neonatal, and case management.
She is survived by her two children, Madeline and Ronan Dooley; her husband, Brendan Dooley; her mother and father, Marilyn and Gary VanAmber; and her dearest friend, Jennifer Rimer-Shields.
An informal public memorial service will be held at Waterbury Church of Christ, 3211 Main St., Waterbury, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 28th of October with a potluck lunch to follow.
