The funeral for Gerald Lucas, Sr., age 70, will be at 10:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom LeGrand officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gerald was born to Clifford and Helen (VanAmber) Lucas on October 13, 1943, in Alexandria, Minnesota, and died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in Enid.
Gerald graduated high school in Hood River, Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam war. In 1966 he married Alta Anthony, and they later moved to Enid 35 years ago. Gerald worked for the City of Enid and was a truck driver for several trucking companies.
He is survived by his wife Alta; son Gerald Lucas, Jr. of Enid; two brothers, Clifford Lucas of Oregon and Leslie Lucas of Texas; three sisters, Helen Lucas and Georgia Donnelly, both of Oregon, Karen Gilkerson of California, and Susan Albrecht, of Oregon.
Gerald was preceded in death by one brother
