Daughter of William and Deborah VanAmburg. Sister of Martha, Almada, Isabella and Alonzo VanAmburg
"Lodi - Mrs. Minerva Kitson, widow of the late Shadrick Kitson, died of apoplexy early Wednesday morning at the home of Frank Manning where she had gone to spend the winter. Mrs. Kitson was 70 years old and had lived nearly all her life in Seneca county. She was a faithful member of the M. E. church at Lodi, whose pastor, Rev. M. J. Owen officiated at the funeral Friday afternoon. Her remains were laid to rest in the Lodi cemetery." (Ovid Gazette, 24 January 1906)
"Lodi - Mrs. Minerva Kitson died on Tuesday night at an advanced age. She was the widow of the late Shadrach Kitson, of Lodi Centre, where she had lived since the death of her husband, some years ago, except during the winter months she had made her home with the family of Frank Manning, southeast of this village, where she died. Mrs. Kitson was universally respected, and had for many years been a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Lodi. A son, Eugene Kitson, survived her. It is not known at this date (Wednesday) the day and hour of her funeral." (Interlaken Review, Friday, 19 January 1906)
"Mrs. Minerva Kitson died early Wednesday morning, of apoplexy, at the home of Frank Manning, where she was boarding. Her age was 70 years. Funeral at house this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock." ((Interlaken Review, Friday, 19 January 1906)
