Friend Wallace
I received yours of the 22nd about five minutes ago and hasten to reply now about raising that money I would not do it if I am drafted I shall go for I don't think the war will last long and I have other reasons which I will tell you when I see you. About coming after Maryette and a load of goods, I will do so if you will send when you want me to come. I have not time to write any more for I expect the stage along every minute so I will not write any more at present. I remain yours as ever
