Wed. June 1, 1864
Still very warm, I expect to be examined today. Was examined today for a furlough.
Thu. June 2, 1864
Went down town today, went to the post office and got a letter for M.B.D. Run around till I got tired then got onto the cars and rode up as far as they run then walked about 3 quarters of a mile.
Fri. June 3, 1864
Went up and got my clothes and got Conover to wash them for me. Paid him 50 cts. Got a letter from Ett today.
Sat. June 4, 1864
Very fine weather here now. We are doing first rate here now. Hear nothing of my furlough yet.
